Many Smiles

A fun sentiment to go along with some sunny colors.  The thing is it is RAINING here!!!
I used the retro sketch for my launching pad.  All of the elements were on the tag in their sketch but I decided I wanted to put some of the elements on the tag and some on the card base itself.
This is a "playing around" piece.  I started out by adding color to my paper with some Distress Stains and water.  This gives a great watercolor look.  When this was dry, I used a zig zag stencil and some white embossing paste to add some design.  I like not using all of the stencil with the paste.  I then took my most favorite tag die from Reverse Confetti and cut the tag.  The cardstock flower is a Martha Stewart punch.
I cut a little sentiment tag with some of my leftover watercolored paper.  The sentiment is from Printworks.
Here is the retro sketch.

You're Amazing!

Who would not to receive a card with this greeting!  I went to the CAS(e) this sketch for my inspiration.
Although I did not follow the sketch to the letter, I did let it be my launching point and that is what a sketch is about to me.  I used a die cut of some leaves by Memory Box for my main element.  The sentiment banner stamp is from My Favorite Things with the matching die.
Take notice of my background.  I started coloring it by using a dot stencil and some Distress Stains.  I used water to give the look of watercolors.  After it was colored and dry, I took another stencil and embossed the paper using an embossing pad and my Cuttlebug.  The texture is oh so cool.

Wish Big

A fun card to share using the color combo at Colour Q.  They always have such fun challenges.

I cut out the fleur de lis design with my Cricut. It has two layers that allowed me to use two of the blues in the combo.

The background is embossed and I finished with the accents of a tiny tag that has a PaperTrey, Inc sentiment and some sequins, rhinestones, buttons and twine.
Here is the Colour Q combo.

Love and Kisses to You

I just love hearts! I love using hearts on projects, they are probably my favorite accent.  So, Valentine's Day is a fun holiday for me to create some fun things. I am adding this to Paper Smooches Valentine's challenge.
First up, a really cute little card that is tied to a glassine bag of chocolates.  The card base was cut with the Cricut and the rest of the goodies are stamps and a banner die from Paper Smooches.  This little frog is so completely adorable!!!

It fits with the CAS(e) this sketch.
Next up, I ordered this totally cute tiny coffee cups with lids from the internet and then we decorated them to use as gifts for all of the staff at two of my grandsons school.  The cups are about 3" tall.
I cut the red tag using a Reverse Confetti tag die, embossing those tags with a heart Cuttlebug embossing folder. The other tags are from a set of tags by Recollections at Michaels.  We stuffed them with amazing homemade salted caramels!!!

My Flowery Thank You

I used the Freshly Made sketch for my inspiration today.
I had previously stamped and colored the flower so it was fun to pick it up and put it to use.  It is a stamp from Paper Source. It looks kind of fluorescent but it really isn't! Love the sentiment stamp from Wplus9 Designs.

I inked the leaf sprig stamp with Distress Stain, gave it a spritz of water and stamped it.  I didn't reink it every time and created the background for my card with it.  That stamp is also from Paper Source.  I used a strip of vellum that I embossed with an embossing folder for the piece that goes across the card. It provided a place to add my flower and it also let the stamped background show through.
Here is the Freshly Made sketch.

To The Moon and Back

One of my favorite design elements are hearts!!
It was fun to use red and a heart on the card I want to share today.  I tried to use the color combination from Colour Q and the LOVE challenge from Addicted to CAS.  I used one my favorite background stamps from Hero Arts.  I inked it directly with Distress Stain, spritzed that with water and then stamped it to my paper. I love the irregular look of the design.
That great heart is a Hero Arts stamp, cut with the matching die and the sentiment is a stamp from Kaisercraft.
Here is the Addicted to CAS challenge.
I also linked it to the Simon Says Wednesday challenge to use hearts.

The little birdie says Hello!

I had so much fun with this card!
I used the Freshly Made sketch as my launching pad.  I felt the sky was really the limit with this great sketch.  I started with one of my embossing folders, the bubble background. I made sure to not emboss the entire front of the card.  This embossed piece was then accented with a spray of two different colors of ink.
My main focal piece is a little birdie digital image from A Day for Daisies.  After I printed it out, I added some real simple coloring. The little dots were added with a stencil.  The doily looking piece is a Martha Stewart anywhere punch. I punched it once and then cut that out. I added it to my card, going "off the page".  That makes it fit the CAS-UAL Friday challenge.  The word "hello" is a Paper Smooches die cut.
Here is the Freshly Made sketch.
