I am using mostly PaperTrey, Inc stamps on both of my cards that I want to share with you today. Why, because I love their stamps!
This hexagon shape stamp is from the Rosie Posie set. It is one of the lines of shapes, I just stamped it repeatedly to fill my card.
I stamped it all in the orange color and then on a separate piece of paper I stamped it in a few other colors. I just cut out single shapes and added them over the orange stamped ones. Some were added with foam tape so there is dimension. Then I added some buttons in the middles of some of the shapes.
For my next card, I used the color combo in the Play Date Cafe challenge and...
The retro sketch as well as the Cas-ual Fridays challenge to do a card with flowers.
I never would have used these colors together if it had not been for that challenge and I so love how it turned out.
Again, I used the Rosie Posie set. Two different sizes of the flower and I thought I needed to add the green leaves although the green isn't in the color combo. The sentiment is so sweet, it is from Stepping Stones stamps.
That yummy decorative border is created with a Kreaxions 4-in-1 punch, #918.
Gotta share a few photos too...
One of my favorite flowers are Fuchia's and these beauties are blooming in my yard right now.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
I struggled with the colors in The Play Date challenge. The way you used them looks FANTASTIC! Love your take on the sketch as well. So glad you played RetroSketches this week!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Linda! I'm lovin' those hexagons to pieces right now! And the bit of gingham, paired with the sunshine, on your PDCC take is the perfect touch of country and whimsy! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm so jealous of your fuschia! They are one of my all-time favorite flowers! I got them to grow beautifully, when I lived in Colorado, but I've had a tough go of it here in Kansas. Sigh. They're absolutely gorgeous! TFS!

ReplyDeleteLinda, both of these cards are fabulous! Love how you combined the challenges and I can really see the inspiration of each in your work.
ReplyDeleteFuschias are some of my faves, too, and I'm soooo jealous that you can grow them where you are! I buy a hanging basket of them every year for my patio but our summers are too hot for them to last! :(
