Not sure how this happened but all of the cards I wanted to share with you in this post feature the great color of YELLOW!!!
First up, I created a card to go with the Colour Q color combo. I started out by pulling out some stamps pads that would help me use the color combo.
I created a card with a similar look awhile back, using sentiment stamps to create the focus. It is so fun to find a couple sentiments that will go together and to make a card around them. I reached into my supply of Paper Smooches stamps for this one. I wanted the flower to stay very subtle so I stamped it in yellow and then sprayed it with a Chalkboard spray. Here is the Colour Q combo I used.
Since I had the stamp pads out, I just had to play around a little more with them and this time I pulled out some Hero Arts stamps.
The zig zag background stamp was inked with two of the colors and again, I wanted a very simple, yellow flower. The edges of this one are all accented with Glossy Accents by Ranger.
Next up, I wanted to play with the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge. The background is a stencil, colored with a yellow stamp pad.
I stamped the kite and cloud stamp directly onto my background and then stamped the kite portion again on white cardstock and stamped the dot background stamp on that. I thought that made for a fun little contrast.
Here is the inspiration piece that I used. I was taken with that great monochromatic look and the travel theme. I thought the kits and clouds kinda fit that.
