CardMaker Magazine and Faber Castell blog hop

Its an exciting time, the Cardmaker blog team is hosting a blog hop featuring some great supplies from Faber-Castell.  Sometime during the hop, stop by the Faber-Castell blog since they are giving away some good stuff.
The featured products from Faber-Castell was a Paper Flower kit that included Gelatos.  It was fun to sit down, pull out everything in the kit and to just play.
I had used Gelatos before but I wanted to really see what they could do so I enjoyed spending some time doing just that.  I ended up with several pieces that I know I will use on cards in the future but for this hop and for my card I settled on this great background.  Gelatos are in a small, shape similar to a lip stick.  They react to water so I scribbled some colors on my watercolor paper and then used water to spread them around.  I also used those same Gelatos to add color to the various layers of flowers that I used.
The kit includes a number of flower shapes, almost all white and cut from a few different types of paper.  The different papers take these inks differently so that was a neat part of the playing process.  I used quite a bit of water on my background so the inks did run and of course, those runs became a big part of my finished card.

Please continue the hop by going on over the Lisa Silvers blog.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
