DO try this at home!

You know you want to.....!

A friend shared some of these bars with us recently and I knew that she could not leave without giving my the recipe! Let me tell you, these are a mix of everything wonderful. It is amazing that I will even say that since the recipe does not include chocolate but it really is perfect even without chocolate and I am thinking that chocolate chips could be included somewhere along the line for a variation.
SALTED NUT BARS
1 yellow cake mix
1/3 c. butter, solftened
1 egg
3 c. mini marshmallows
1 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. bag peanut butter chips
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. butter
2 c. peanuts, salted
2 c. Rice Krispies
Mix yellow cake mix, 1/4 cup butter and egg. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Pour marshmallows on cake. Bake about 3 minutes or until marshmallows puff up. Melt in saucepan, peanut butter chips, white syrup and butter; add vanilla. Add to chip mixture salted peanuts and Rice Krispies and spread over marshmallows. Cool and cut.

And, I have to share a couple more fall photos from Oregon. I have TONS!
This is an amazing tree we came upon in someone's yard in Jacksonville, Oregon.
LOVED the mix of the red berries with the yellow and green.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
