Yellow flower - Pink flower

I didn't plan this, but both cards I want to share with you today have a big flower as the focal point!!!

First up, I used the Freshly Made sketch to create this card.  The brown dot piece is a stencil sprayed with brown Stephanie Barnard spray ink by Clearsnap.
The flower and leaves here are dies from My Favorite Things.  You can see the embossed lines too.
Here is the Freshly Made sketch.
For this card I turned to the color combination at The Play Date Café.  I just love the softness of this combo.  The alphabet letters were cut with a set of dies from Hero Arts.
LOVE this flower, a stamp and matching dies from Avery Elle.
Here is The Play Date Café combo.

I love the color red!

This card is the perfect example of that.
I used the retro sketch to create this card. What is sort of funny is that the piece with the red roses and the sprayed pink background is a piece I was playing with some time ago and when I finished I just left it sitting on my desk. This week I decided it was the perfect starting point to use the sketch and the create a card. That great spray background is some Stephanie Barnard Spray inks from Clearsnap.
That wonderful "thank you"stamp in that amazing font is from Avery Elle.
Here is the retro sketch.

Sunshiny Flowers

I am always into experimenting!!!
This card is one example of that.  This Hero Arts flower stamp is fun and so I did a bit of experimenting on a way to ink it up.  The background is a wonderful spray of two shades of the Stephanie Barnard spray inks by Clearsnap.

I took two colors of Distress Stain and daubed them directly on the stamp. I spritzed it with water first and then stamped it.  I did each flower twice so I could cut out the middle section to add it with foam tape for added dimension. The dots in the middle were finished with Liquid Pearls.

Clouds make me smile!

I wanted to use the CAS(E) this sketch for this week so I went to this adorable set of sticker elements by My Little Shoebox.
Using these super cute stickers made making my card as easy as 1, 2, 3! Seriously QUICK and easy. The cute sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps.
I turned the sketch and thought that the three cloud stickers worked to match the inspiration of the sketch.
Here is the CAS(E) this sketch and turned it.

It's a party!

I just had to use this adorable party balloon and the Colour Q combo made for the perfect starting point.
I just love Avery Elle stamps and this card represents my most recent purchase.
This really has to be the cutest little doggie balloon, like a party waiting to happen! I created the background with a design element in one of their sets.  I used a Distress Paint to ink that stamp and just stamped it repeatedly. By not reinking it each time, I ended up with more then one shade of the colors.
Here is the wonderful Colour Q combo.
And, now for a couple photos...
We planted an artichoke but we really aren't fans of eating them.  I knew they would product a pretty neat flower so we just waited until it went to this oh so pretty flower.
I took these photos with my Hipstamatic camera on my phone.

You should have come to my blog from Vickie's blog.

My choice of stamps to use from Impression Obsession for this blog hop is this adorable little boat and a set of stamps that include some great patriotic themed sentiments.
I just colored my little boat in patriotic colors with my Copic markers.  The set of stars and the sentiment "Three Cheers" is from the sentiment set.  I was thinking this would also fit pretty cute for a little boy or new baby boy card.

And, my finishing touches were some wonderful, white Flower Soft that I added to one of the sails.  The white is one of my favorite Flower Soft colors to use.  I also added some Glossy Accents to the boat bottom and the words.
From my blog hop on over to Daniela's blog to see what she has created.

Red, White and Blue

The Flower Soft team is featuring the wonderful Patriot mix of Flower Soft this week.
This is one of my favorites that Flower Soft has to offer, it is a red/white and blue mix.
I took a  couple Heidi Swapp stars, colored them with a stamp pad and some spray color and then filled in the open star center with the Patriot Flower Soft.  The dots on the star are the resist part of the star, love the look. The red background is the Tweed stamp from  Hero Arts. The sentiment is a Paper Smooches stamp.

Yummy GREEN!

Can I say it just made me happy to use this great green along with the black and white?
I used the color combination at Dynamic Duos for my card.  Since I simply love these colors, it was pretty easy. They also suggested using a "plant" theme and somehow I forgot that but butterflies land on plants so maybe with a twist I did get it.
This wonderful paint splatter background is a new stamp from Hero Arts.  I spritzed the green ink with water before stamping it which helps with the watercolor look. The little tag and butterfly are also from Hero Arts and both have a matching die making them sooooo easy to cut out.

Here is the Dynamic Duos combo.

Using color!

Some new stamps and the great color challenge at Colour Q helped jump start the following card.
My newest order from Avery Elle arrived this week and so, of course, I needed to put some of them to work!
I created my interesting background with the challenge colors and a few small stamps. It was pretty fun and while my design isn't perfect, I love how it turned out.
Here is the Colour Q combo.
Plus the color combo at The Play Date Café set the stage for this card.  I am such a fan of black/white and a pop of another color so this one was a stand out to me.
That amazing wood grain cardstock is from Simon Says. LOVE this stuff. The wood grain circle is from  Hero Arts and the flower and leaves are from Avery Elle. I inked the leaves with a black dye ink and spritzed it with water before stamping it. I gave the image such a neat, mottled look. I have the matching die for the leaves and the flower making this even easier. The banner die is from Paper Smooches.

The black and white Tuesday Trigger

I had a few minutes to sit and play and create so the first thing I turned to for inspiration was the Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab.  Cath does the best job of picking out pieces that really do "trigger" inspiration I just don't always have time to play.
I feel in  love with the black and white and brown of the piece and the strong, rather tribal look to the patterns.  I thought it also had a rather masculine look but I ended up adding in a bit of a feminine look, oh well!!!
I started off with a wonderful stencil from Prima.  I sprayed that with a black Stephanie Barnard spray ink from Clearsnap. I love those sprays anyway and the black was just right for this challenge.  The cardstock was white so I softened that with some brown ink. The chevron piece is the Tweed background stamp from Hero Arts.  That was stamped with black and also softened with brown ink. I did cut that in a circle to mimic the circle pieces in the trigger.
The banner die is from Paper Smooches and that beautiful sentiment is from Avery Elle.  I added in a few gold dots using Liquid Pearls, I wanted just a touch of the gold to mimic the gold pieces in the trigger. See that row of flower ribbon? I colored that with that same black spray ink. It started off yellow.
Here is that wonderful Tuesday Trigger.

It's for Dad

The Flower Soft team had a challenge for this week to create a card fitting for Dad.
I went straight to one of my most favorite products offered by Flower Soft, the silhouette stickers. What is even neater is that there are silhouette stickers and matching stamps!!! I love the silhouette look and the stickers could not be any easier to use.
I applied all three stickers to cardstock, the trees to a green cardstock, the deer to white cardstock and then cut around the shape. To finish off the simple look, I added a wonderful Ultra Fine Flower Soft to portions of the trees. For my inspiration, I used a Freshly Made sketch however I am posting this to late to link it there.
Be sure to check out the Flower Soft blog and the facebook page for all of the great inspiration from the team.

Lots of circles

The challenge at Addicted to CAS is the use circles as a design element.
I found the neatest digital journaling cards at AC Digitals. They have so many neat ones and what I loved is there is more then one way to print them out. I picked the way where I could resize them to get a size great for the front of a card.
After I printed this out and got it cut to size, I stamped a stamp from Avery Elle. Super quick and easy.

Lacey goodness

Since I just received this great flower die cut in the mail, I of course needed to put it to use.
I decided to pair it with this wonderful, lacey piece.  Both dies are from Spellbinders.  I had sprayed this piece with a wonderful purple spray using a Stephanie Barnard Spray from Clearsnap.  I made sure that the spray was focused on the one side, leaving some white space on the other side.
I didn't want to leave the card base plain white so I used a "writing" stencil and some light brown ink. I used some white Liquid Pearls to give the finishing touch.

What a fun colour combo!

Yeah! I found some "stamping" kind of play time last night. I went straight to the Colour Q combo for this week for my inspiration.
This first thing I picked up was my new fav, my newest stamp set purchase, a set from The Craft's Meow.  I picked this flower set so I could color the flower and leaves to match the combo.
The "You" and the "are the best!" are a stamp and matching die from a set by Simon Says Stamp.
Here is that amazing Colour Q combo I used.

I used this great retro sketch as my layout inspiration.
