Fall, a Project and an Outing

Yes, I still need to share some of my fall photos with you. I took sooooo many! How about just one for today?
Now, onto the Project. I created this little wooden plaque some time ago and it was published in a magazine by Paper Crafts magazine. It is about 7" long. I just loved the simplicity of it and so I thought you would enjoy seeing it.
It is one of those 1,2,3 and it's done kind of crafts and it would make a great gift. I bought the piece of wood and the cut out words at a craft store. The wood was painted and then the words were applied. They are cut vinyl and went on so quick and easy.

I stamped the flourish design and then accented that with Prima, flourish self adhesive rhinestones. The finishing touch on the front was a silk flower with a rhinestone center.
I cut a piece of patterned paper to fit around the edge of the wood block and then warpped a ribbon around that and tied it in a bow.
Now for an outing that we took a couple of our grandkids on this weekend. We live in a coastal city and so we went up to a park that is referred to as "the Cross". It sits high above the city and the view is amazing.
Here they are looking out over the coast.
This is the view, looking out in one direction. One of the things that is amazing about this spot is that you can look several different directions and so so much beauty.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
