Recyling and crafting

I could hardly wait to share this weeks card with you. I used the Unscripted sketch and the Piggyback challenge to go along with the sketch is to use recycled material to go with Earth Day.  At first I thought this was going to be a bit of a challenge until I got started!!!  Wow was this fun.
I got started with my inspiration point when a Godiva Chocolate catalog arrived in the mail and what was on one of the pages but these great chocolate butterflies and some grass print pages.  Since I am always a fan of butterflies on a card, I knew I had to put these beauties to good use.
The word "spring" was cut from the same catalog.  The brown, crinkled paper is from a paper bag that I got while shopping. The buttons are ones that I save when they come with new clothes that I buy. I have a ton of these things!!!
Even my card base was recycled because I took a part a card I had created that I didn't really care for and there was just the right color and size for my card.  See the corrugated cardboard? That is from a box and the green tissue paper came with a scrapbook order from Emma's Paperie because she always wraps the products so cute and I save the tissue paper.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
