TJ Designs - yum rubber stamps

Yes, there are a whole lot of stamps companies offering LOTS of super cool designs but I want to tell you about a new one. TJ Designs, offered by Tweety Jill Publications. Now Tweety Jill has been around for quite some time offering great books loaded with ideas for crafting. Not too many months ago they revealed some stamp sets and I can tell you I was very excited when I received some in the mail. WHY? Cause the packaging ROCKS! These stamps are rubber with a cling backing. I always love stamps that are mounted on wood but the newer style of buying them with a cling backing makes for a great storage solution. Rubber with a cling back makes for a great combination. But like I said, they really outdid themselves with the packaging. The images come in some great themes and they come in a plastic case that is a little larger then your usual CD case. The outside of the paper lining is done very well with some examples of using the images but inside they included an idex of what stamps are in the set and I can say that this is just clever. Here's a little peek.
I love anything "Paris" related so I especially love this set. This set also gives you some "travel" and "postcard" related stamps.
This card represents some super simple stamping. I created a background first with some alchohol inks. I dropped them on a matte kind of paper. The most usual way to use alcohol inks is with a glossy paper because the inks "move" around a little better but I love the effect with a matte paper too, just a little different. It does make a great way to have a surface now ready for stamping on. After preparing that piece, my card was finished with a very simple white card with some extra stamping.
This card is created around a little library pocket and some amazing Pink Paislee papers. I stamped in a collage style on the library pocket making for a fun little scene.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (aka lbpost)
