So, not only is this card created with the Card Positioning Systems sketch for this week but I also reached into my stash to create it! I am the kind that always wants to play with the very latest papers I have purchased and yet I have this amazing stash of papers that one day were the new ones, yet they are neglected now. I love Scenic Route papers so I can't think of them as being "old"! I love this particular collection and this pattern just made me think of a very happy card for the birthday boy.
The stars were simply cut out of the patterned paper and I did add them to the card with foam tape so that there was some added dimension. I used some zig zag scissors to cut the orange paper and distressed it a little bit.

I wanted to share some photos with you too.
April of last year we were driving through Oregon and I remembered online friends talking about a Tulip Festival so we made sure we checked out the dates and you can imagine how happy I was that it was still going on on the day we would drive through that area. It is actually in Woodburn which is not all that far from Portland. I created a little collage of some of my favorite photos from that day using Picasa 3. Here is a link to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
