More Hero Arts and some digi stamp goodness (plus baseball pics!)

I mentioned this in an earlier post, but Hero Arts was the sponsor this week at CPS. I love the sets that I received to work with so I wanted to make sure to show them off all I could! I wanted to be able to play with the shell stamps in the one set again so they are the feature on my card. I stamped them in different colors and I did emboss them with clear embossing powder. I just like the strength that the clear embossing gives to the image. I already had this wonderful wood grain background stamp so I started with that on the plain white Curious Iridescent Cryogen cardstock. I stamped that with green ink and then gave it a spray with a couple colors of Glimmer Mist. I like the way the Glimmer Mist kind of fills in the spaces and adds some interest. I used one of the sentiments from the Clear Truly Appreciated set, again I love the size of these words.
I wanted to be sure to show you what I did on the corner of my card base. By the way, the card base if from the Vintage collection by Core'dinations. I took my Swiss Dot Cuttlebug embossing folder and caught each corner in the folder and then pressed down real hard with my fingers against my work table. That did put some dot impressions in my cardstock and then I sanded it. I gave just a bit of embossing to each corner.

My next card shows off the Unscripted sketch #49 for this week and a cute digital stamp I picked up.
The sad thing is that this cutie was a free download from somewhere and I didn't keep that information, so if you recognize her, let me know. I want to give the proper credit.
The image is opened in a Word document and then printed on the Curious Iridescent Cryogen White cardstock. I colored the bear and umbrella with Copic markers and the entire umbrella is coated with Aleene's Paper Glaze because of the wonderful, shiny glass-look that gives.
Notice the card base is a piece of Jillibean Soup Core Impressions Core'dinations cardstock. I comes with the numbers embossed in it and all it takes is a little bit of sanding to show off the design.

And some baseball pics to share! Two of our grandsons are playing this season and so Grandma and Grandpa try to get to several of their games. I played with a new-to-me program, Picnik. You can get started for free and the applications I used in altering the tones of the photos and the polaroid frames were part of the free package.

Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
