Butterflies and Reindeer

First up, I wanted to use the retro sketch for this week.
I printed out some elements from the Be You  mini digital kit from Design House Digital.  Everything on my card is from that kit except the black rhinestones.
I just printed out several parts of the kit and put them together on my card.
 Here is the retro sketch.
Next up is my Kreaxions punch card for my post over at Just Imagine Crafts.  I used the sketch from Clean and Simple for the layout of the card.
The black strip is punched with the #922 Kreaxions punch.  I used the punched edge and the piece that would have been discarded.  I also used some Tim Holtz paper tape and added color to it with Distress Stain.  The other elements are stamps from Hero Arts.
Here is the Clean & Simple sketch.
This card was created to go along with a challenge at Hero Arts.  The challenge is to use a stamp for a different theme then what would be expected for it.  I just picked up this cute little reindeer and thought it would be adorable on a baby card.  I just stamped it on striped paper and then cut that out.
The papers are from a set of papers by My Mind's Eye and the label pieces are cut out with the Cricut.  The nice thing about the Cricut for cutting labels like this is that is was so easy to cut it out in three different sizes that mat together perfectly.

Comfort - Pull up a chair and get your coffee cup

Some fun projects to share...
I used this amazing chair stamp by Gourmet Stamps and the color combination at The Play Date Cafe.  The little red square border is a die from My Favorite Things. I cut extras of these and they are sitting on my desk. I seem to be reaching for them for so many projects!
The sentiment is also from Gourmet Stamps. I love this little combination.
Isn't this The Play Date Cafe combo amazing! I want to use it over and over.
Now for my card for Card Positioning Systems blog with My Favorite Things as our sponsor.
The girl stamp and the hexagons shapes are die from My Favorite Things.
Here is the CPS sketch.

Spring, Summer, Fall

Seems like I covered most of the seasons with the projects I want to share today.
We can call this spring related with the soft, pretty colors. I used the Colour Q combination.  I would have never just sat down and put these colors together, I so love color challenges.
The stamps are by Unity, the flower is from Maya Road.  The patterned paper is from My Mind's eye. It was fun to decorate that pattern with dots of Liquid Pearls.
Here is the Colour Q combo.
Next up, a summer theme for sure, the Saturday sketch at 2 peas.
I used a digital kit that I had from 2 peas.  I placed the kids onto the antique postcard and printed that piece out twice so I could cut the kids out of the one card and put it on top of the other one.
This is the 2 Peas Saturday Sketch.
I don't make tags all that often but it was fun to play along with the Blog named Hero blog.
All of the stamps are from Hero Arts.  The bird is colored with Distress Stain.  The leaf is a die from My Favorite Things.
Here is the A Blog Named Hero challenge.
Plus my tag fits the FALL theme at Cas-ual Fridays.

Some Flower Soft and a Color Combination

The Flower Soft team is taking this week to focus on some of the Flower Soft card toppers.  I LOVE the toppers. They come completely colored, ready to use.  Of course, they work great on a card but really they can be used for other kinds of projects and that is what the team wants to show off.
For Christmas this year, Flower Soft released some great toppers that are Santa related. I used this one from the set to create an envelope/gift bag.  I just too some kraft colored cardstock and created a simple envelope.
I wanted to show off what adding some white Flower Soft does to this great looking Santa.  I added it to the rim of his hat, his cuffs and the bottom edge of his jacket.
I added some of the gold Flower Soft to some of the stars. I LOVE the gold Flower Soft.
Be sure to visit the Flower Soft blog and the other team members projects.  From here go to Deb Felt's blog.
Another project to share is my card using the Dynamic Duo Color combination and the retro sketch.

I am always in love with black/white and green so I had to play along.
I pulled out my little star die cut from Memory Box. LOVE this die! Plus I used some Unity stamps, I always have loved this set with trees in it. I stamped a flourish stamp over the tree after I colored it with some green Copic markers.
Here is the Dynamic Duos combo.
Plus the great retro sketch.

Balloons, Flowers and Squares

I love sharing new creations.
First up, the card I created to go along with the Card Positioning Systems sketch.  My Favorite Things is our sponsor for the month and so I used this adorable little girl stamp.

While I love coloring in these images, I also love the "less is more" idea of leaving her mostly black and white.  I outlined the black stamped image with a very light blue and added some lines to the balloon for a plaid look.
This is the CPS sketch.
And, since I love using color challenges, this card is for The Play Date Cafe challenge.
I am in love with this die from My Favorite Things stamps so it seemed like a great way to use the soft and wonderful colors in the combo.
Here is The Play Date Cafe combo.
Now for my last card, I used another sketch from the past at Freshly Made sketches
The flowers are a stamp from Verve, colored with Copic markers.
This is the Freshly Made sketch I used.  (Not sure how I did this again, but I missed the cut off for adding this the FM web site)
And for some photos...
One grandson is playing football and this one is playing soccer this season, so that is where we were on Saturday.  Let me tell you, he keeps up quite the pace.  You get tired just watching him.

Can you see that I caught both of his feet off of the ground! Pretty cool.

Colors, Sketches and FUN!!!

I have some fun stuff to share...
I have a hate/love relationship with this card. Ever happen to you? I created the card around the Colour Q combination. I worked one night for some time trying to put something together and as I left it and went to bed, I knew I did not like it at all. I was going to get up and go in a completely different direction. BUT...when I got up and looked at it, I could see the possibilities and so I went with it. The circle pattern is cut with the Paper Lace 2 Cricut cartridge.
As I was trying to make this work, I read Cath's challenge on Moxie Fab to use a canning jar. I LOVE canning jars, so this made me happy. I had this adorable digital stamp jar by The Wax Fruit Co and I was pretty sure I could print it out real small.  I could say as I finished the card, I loved it!
Here is the Colour Q combo.
Next up, the retro sketch for this last week.  I pulled out a stencil that I hadn't used yet and created the design on white cardstock using a stamp pad from Hero Arts.
I just purchased a set of stamps from Verve.  I loved this set because it includes several sentiments that are meant to be the spotlight on a card.  My little sun is hand cut.
 Here is the retro sketch.
And, I also wanted to play along with Freshly Made sketches this week. The fun part is that you are to pick out a sketch from their past sketches and I was so happy to see so many that are fun.
I used a piece of digital paper and some digital elements from Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic to create my card.
Here is the Freshly Made sketch that I used, sketch #2.
