CPS #136 and a kitty cat

Because of a time restraint, I wasn't sure I would be able to play with the Card Positioning Systems sketch for this week so I am not playing with the Gina K stamps like the rest of the team, but I did manage to sneak in a minute to create a card with the sketch. I am a complete fool for sketches so I couldn't resist!
I just love how the sketch gives me the inspiration on how to lay things out and then I also get a chance to use some of the supplies that are sitting around my room.
This gave me a chance to play with this Heidi Swapp butterfly mask that I have had sitting here. I love playing with techniques. First of all, I stamped my white cardstock with this great TEXT stamp and then placed the mask over that. Next I sprayed my piece with this great blue spray by Memories Mist. When I peeled off the mask, I felt the butterfly needed a little more definition, so I gave it an outline inside the lines with a fine line black pen.
I used this embossing plate before, it is from Stampin' Up. I love the look of the embossing plates with the Black Magic Core'dinations cardstock. A little sanding and that great CORE color shows up.
Remember our new little kitty cat? Well, she was outside exploring this week and I thought it would be fun to show an update on how much she has grown. What is funny, is she still looks so tiny to me and my family keeps saying they think she has grown. I can't really see it until I compare her today to some photos we took when she first arrived. Her coloring is just turning out to be so gorgeous.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
