Oh the colors of Fall

Since we are so marveling at the amazing colors of fall right now, I thought I would post this layout I created awhile back.
I used an actual photo that I took and printed the entire photo on photo paper and so that is the background of my layout.
I found a little "fall" related poem on the internet and use it on my layout. I printed the poem on vellum, leaving space between each line of words to add a strip of patterned paper. I was able to hide my glue under the patterned paper strips. Notice too, that I hand doodled around the outside edge of the photo with a Sakura 3-D gel pen. I just love the thickness of the ink for something like this.
I cut the letters for the title from Chipboard with a die cut machine. I loved the raw look of the chipboard with the fall colors on the rest of the layout.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)

  3. I love this. I'm very impressed by your "by hand" decoration with the gel pen. Love the idea of using a real photo as the background.
