I have a bunch of good stuff to share with you today.
First off, my Card Positioning Systems card for this week.
I pulled out some of my brand new Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker products from the Flaming Butterfly collection for my card and I turned the sketch on it's side.
The butterfly is a stamp. I colored it with Copic markers and parts of the butterfly were coated with Aleene's Paper Glaze and that gives those sections a neat epoxy finish.
Next, I created a card to go with the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch #46 for this last week.
This card contains more Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker goodness, this time from the Willow Bee collection and they are mixed with some Core'dinations cardstock.
Here you can see the card base created with Black Magic Core'dinations. The card is black, you can see the edges are yellow because sanding exposed the core. I also used a black piece from the Vintage collection and then the yellow piece is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The bee is a stamp by Nikki Sivils and can you see the yummy goodness on the wings? That is Ultra Fine Flower Soft, the perfect accent.
The sticker letters for "sweet" were white and they have a fabric finish. I just rubbed them with a yellow Powder Puff chalk stamp pad by Quick Quotes to change the color and make them fit my card colors.
Next, a card to fit the Cuttlebug Blog Challenge #71, sewing on a card.
The green portion on my card is actually a patterned piece from Crate Paper. The green is the reverse side with a black print on the other side. I loved how the embossing looked with this green and then with some sanding, the white core of this paper is exposed. My example of sewing is rather simple, I just did a row of zig zag machine sewing around the outside edge.
The flower is by Prima and I added some chunky glitter to the edges of the petals. I used Aleene's Paper Glaze on the tips of the petals and then sprinkled on the Impress Rubber Stamp chunky glitter. The Paper Glaze grabs the glitter perfectly and really holds onto a whole lot of it.
Now for a little shopping tidbit.
