If you visit very often, you know how much I love a challenge in the way of a sketch or a color combo, etc.
My first card that I want to share today is my Card Positioning Systems card for this week. Since I love sketches, I love being on the CPS DT! (not to mention the gals on the team are pretty cool too)
This card also let me show off some of my very newest purchases from Emma's Paperie. Pretty much everything you see is by Jenni Bowlin.
Are you drooling over that red, embossed cardstock that I used for the card base? It is new from Core'dinations. All it took was a little bit of sanding and the pattern stands out wonderfully.

Now on to the Moxie Fab Olympics of Stamping! I have been so trying to catch as much of the Olympics in Vancouver as I can and so of course, I wanted to play along with Moxie Fab's own Olympic challenge.

Now on to the Moxie Fab Olympics of Stamping! I have been so trying to catch as much of the Olympics in Vancouver as I can and so of course, I wanted to play along with Moxie Fab's own Olympic challenge.
I pulled out a PaperTrey, Inc stamp set. I love this flower and leaf. The card base is another piece of embossed cardstock by Core'dinations and Jenni Bowlin. It is just dreamy in that great cream color. The patterned paper is by October Afternoon. It is really meant for a Christmas collection but I love red prints and I want to use them all year long.
Now for the details on my flower. I pulled out a piece of a vellum kind of paper I have had in my stash. It is thin and has a slight white on white pattern to it. I stamped the flower four times on this vellum, embossing it with red embossing powder. I stamped the flower one time on white cardstock because I wanted the layer that was the last layer before the middle of the flower was added to be a solid white. The bottom flower is the entire flower and then for each of the other layers, parts of the flower are left off. I was curling the petals on the layers but then I sprayed my flower with three different colors of Glimmer Mist and a huge bonus is that the papers curled all on their own with the spray. Exactly what I wanted! I used Scrapbook Adhesives 3L 3D Foam Squares to layer my flower. I had not used these before but I loved the depth that they provide.

And, here is a view of our beach this last week! We have been switching between rain and blue skies with big fluffy clouds and so this was one of the blue skies with big fluffy clouds days and that also brought out a bunch of sailboats.
