This last week, an amazing package arrived at my door filled with Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker goodness. SOOOOO...I wanted to share some of that with you in a couple creations.
Of course, first on the bill was a card fitting for Valentines Day. Is this U R My Favorite collection of papers and stamps just perfect for that?
The little "reserved" tag piece is a stamp and so it the crown. I cut out the crown, colored it with Copic markers and then added some Aleene's Paper Glaze for an epoxy or glass look and some rhinestones for some necessary BLING.
The flourish was stamped with black ink and then I sprayed on some Memories Mist color and rubbed it with some Fluid chalk stamp pads.
And for my Ella Friday Sketch #4 using this adorable Willow Bee collection by Nikki Sivils.
I am trying to keep with my resolve to get some of our youngest grandsons earlier photos on layouts for him. The sketch calls for three photos but I have a digital camera! Do you understand what that means? I take 50 photos of one occasion. Sometimes there is only one good photo, sometimes most of the 50 are great and I just had to use some of the other poses because this face is too cute. BUT, that is what a sketch is about. You make it you own, you just use it for a launching pad.
And added bonus is that this little label is on the back of the packaging for the burlap buttons so I cut it out and used it for my journaling. I cut the scallop circle paper in half and that let me stretch it above and below my grouping of photos and you can't see the cut line.

Notice the amazing embossed cardstock that is my background piece? This is new from Core'dinations from a new Jenni Bowlin collection. I thought it was the perfect "boy" accent and all I needed to do was sand it a little. Notice the cute burlap buttons too. These are self adhesive and come with the thread look on them already. SOOOO fast and easy.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
