Have you checked out the current Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger? Every week or every two weeks, Cath puts up a great inspiration piece and this is this weeks. Is that cuteness???
The first thing I was taken with in the inspiration photo was that wonderful, soft yellow with pink flower background. I was so happy to find this piece of BasicGrey patterned paper that would look similar.
The quilt circle piece is cut from a piece of October Afternoon patterned paper and that is backed with a yellow piece cut with a Spellbinders Nestabilities die. When I looked at the yellow coat, I knew I wanted to use my new My Favorite Things flower die. I thought this finished flower looked a bit like the rolled collar on the coat. And, of course, it had to be finished off with this big, black brad from BoBunny.
For my other card in this post, I used the Unscripted sketch for this week. The piggyback challenge was to use wrapping paper on the project.
I had some bright, green tissue paper and so that seemed the perfect choie. I had just picked up a mini pad of papers by My Mind's Eye so I combined the orange prints with the bright green.
And, guess what! I turned to my new Cricut Expression again for my flower and leaves. The flower is from the Stamping Cartridge, I cut it at 2 1/2" and I also used the shadow for this shape.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
