Colour Q did it again - an amazing color combo and just looks like Spring! I just had to play.
This is my card using that great combo of colors, just in time for Easter and Spring. I stamped the bunny, the egg and the sentiment with a brown Memento stamp pad and quickly embossed that with clear embossing powder. The bunnies on the patterned paper by Jillibean Soup are outlines with brown so I wanted to keep with that look. Plus, my card base is new Core'dinations Core Impressions from Cosmo Cricket. It is a woodgrain design and it is soooo cool.
I wanted my egg to look like a chocolate egg because what other kind would a bunny want so I colored it with three Copic colors. I just love using the Curious Iridescent Cryogen White that I get at CutCardStock.com. I love the way the colors seem to melt together with this cardstock. I decorated the egg with white dots of Tulips 3-D Fashion paint and the bow is accented with some Aleene's Paper Glaze.
This gives you a better view of my grass accent. I just cut many little cuts into this green patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket.

Next I used this weeks sketch at Unscripted Sketches and they added another little challenge to the sketch - using a paint chip. Since I really like using paint chips this was exciting for me to use.
I love these multi color paint chips that I picked up at Lowe's but the last time I checked for them, they weren't using this kind anymore. I loved how well this paint chip went with these BasicGrey patterned papers.
The cardstock I used is BRAND NEW from Core'dinations - GemStone. Can you see that wonderful gleem on the embossed piece on the front of the card? This cardstock embosses so neat.

Next is my card that I submitted to the CARDS blog, the challenge was to make a card using at least 8 colors! I knew that brads were going to make this easy to do. The results of this challenge should be up tomorrow at the CARDS blog.
I used an embossing folder by Quickutz that is a series of circles. This design allowed me to add brads to the middles of some of the circles. I ended up using 9 brads so that my design was balanced. That meant I used a total of 10 colors.

And, last but not least! I worked with the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch, again with some spring colors.

This adorable cupcake is a digi stamp from Digital Stamp Boutique. I fell in love with this cute frosting with flowers. I opened up a Word document and inserted the digital element in that, that lets me size it to the size I want and then I printed it out on the Curious Iridescent Cryogen White that I get at CutCardStock.com. Again, I love how well this cardstock prints and I love using my Copic markers on it. I used some Ultra Fine Flower Soft to accent the frosting and I used some Chunky Glitter from Impress Rubber Stamps to accent the flowers. The chunky glitter was added to the card with Aleene's Paper Glaze, it is the perfect glue for something like this.
