It is Unscripted Sketches and Card Positioning Systems blog time again

Yeah, it is Saturday again. First off, that means it is my day to post at the Flower Soft blog so be sure to check that out.
Next, it means it is the day that the new sketch goes up at Unscripted Sketches and I am going to share my card using that sketch with you.
Something that is very exciting about this card is that I used some BRAND NEW papers by Nikki Sivils! Papers that are going to be shown at this next weeks, Summer CHA. The colors worked perfectly with the Colour Q color scheme for this week too.
These circles are really part of one of the patterns, I simply punched them out. The buttons are the coolest because they already have the thread on them and they are self adhesive. What more can you ask!
The next exciting thing about my post for today is that I get to share my Card Positioning Systems sketch. This week, CPS is being sponsored by Flower Soft and so I get to show yet another way to use Flower Soft on a project.
My flower is simply a punched out flower and the I outlined the edges with Aleene's Tacky Glue and added Flower Soft to the petals and coated a circle punch of cardstock with the Polar White Flower Soft. Also notice that scallop, printed piece that the flower is on. That is one of the BRAND NEW downloadable pieces that Flower Soft is offering and they are sized to match Spellbinder Nestabilities. I don't have the matching Nestabilitie though, so I cut it out by hand.

And, what would a post be without some new photos! Photos of our day today.
We were over at our son's house today for one of our grandsons birthdays. Today was his party and that included some pool time.
This is our son and our youngest grandson modeling the googles.
And, here is the birthday boy, blowing out the candles on his BIG cookie cake.
And, can you believe these cuties came to our house today???? We stopped in at our Human Society today. They are soooo adorable and our grandson loves them so much already.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)

  12. What beautiful cards, Linda! I love the fun circles and buttons on the first, and that lovely banner paper, too. The thanks a bunch sentiment goes perfectly with the bunch of circles. And how pretty is that floral card, too. The green and yellow color palette is so summery and pretty. I adore the checked paper, the scalloped edges, and your fabulous flower creation with the punch and flower soft.
And do I ever look forward to seeing your great photos. Looks like a wonderful birthday celebration you all had!
