A perfect day

Our grandson so loves to play in the dirt, or in this case the sand, that that can easily make for a perfect day.
A quick layout to highlight this trip to the beach. My journaling states that we forgot to pack some beach toys but it didn't take him long to find his own.
The papers and tags are all Creative Imaginations along with a great sand colored Core'dinations cardstock. I cut the swirl pattern out of one of the prints and then I accented it with Glitter 3-D Fashion Paint by Tulip. This paint is easy to apply and it gives just the right amount of glitter with the underneath pattern or colors still showing through.

And a couple photos...
I drove up to Santa Barbara the other day and what did I find walking down the sidewalk but this adorable little duck family. People were stopping everywhere, worried about these guys and trying to get them back to a nearby park where they probably came from.
I then went in search of this park and found this wonderful pond. They were back, swimming and all settled.
They appeared to have their home or hiding place in amoungst the lily pads so it was fun to see them walking on them and finding something to eat. Mom made sure she let them know what she thought of most of their moves!
There were many amazing plants in this park and here is one of them. These are actually very large and hang down from a quite large plant. They might be a good 12" long.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)

  7. What a great beach page, Linda! Love those photos of your grandson playing in the sandy muck. Just like a child to find a toy in whatever is at hand. Love the papers you used and the sandy cardstock. Your hand cut swirl with the glittered touches is my favorite part.
