Merry Snow People

Of course, a Christmas card should have some snow people.

 For this card, I went to a Stampendous set of little snow people to create the accents to my card.  That great striped background is created with a stencil. I sprayed red ink on it, I liked the way the stripes are irregular.  

 This set includes parts of snow people so it is fun to play with these pieces.  I used two of the heads with their cute hats and scarfs.  Placing them on the tag was a fun foundation.  My card goes along with the Simon Says Stamp challenge. The tag is a die cut from Reverse Confetti.

It's Thanksgiving and time to Make Christmas cards

I love when it's time to pull out my Christmas and Holiday stamps. 

 My first card goes pretty much way outside-the-box for Holiday colors but I did want to use the Colour Q challenge.  I kind of like my little Toy Soldier in these interesting colors and who uses orange snowflakes!!!

 I wanted a simple background to go with him so I simply sprayed some spritzes of water on a piece of watercolor paper and ran matching Distress Stains across the card.  I always love how they run and mingle.  That great sentiment is from a set by Simon Says Stamp, the Toy Soldier is a stamp from Tim Holtz, the tiny snowflakes are from Stampendous.

 My next card fits Thanksgiving, a holiday that is closer then I want to think.  How on earth does time fly?  I am stretching things a bit but I am adding it to the CAS-ology challenge to use a FLAG. My banner is a flag shape!  That is a shape I love used on cards but I don't often think to use it.

That amazing, ornate piece is a die by Spellbinders.  It is pretty much hard to believe that one die can cut something so pretty.  The leaf is from Hero Arts.

AAA Cards Blog Hop

 Here is my card that uses all the parts of the MacGyver challenge, string, corrugated paper, a stamp, a hole and plastic.  

 I received a package this week and knew right away I had to keep part of the box.  This was the perfect backdrop for my card.  Those adorable daisies, that cute little tag and the sentiment are from a stamp set by Stampendous.  I kept the coloring very simple by touching the image here and there with Distress Stains.
