I wanted to use the Colour Q combo and I also wanted to create something to fit A Blog named Hero challenge. That color combination is just yummy.
I used a Hero Arts dot stamp and stamped it with brown ink on brown cardstock and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. LOVE that subtle dot look. The A Blog Named Hero challenge is to use words stamps in other say then for the sentiment and I thought that maybe this stamp fit, a heart shape that comes with all of those words on it to look like a portion of a postcard. I had already made the flower from a My Favorite Things die and thought it fit pretty well.
Check out my newest border punch by Recollections! COOL!!! The striped piece is a strip of my paper tape that I picked up a Target.
Here is the Colour Q combo
And, I went to the archives at Card Positioning Systems blog to find a sketch that would fit and here it is. Did you know there is a whole treasure trove of sketches there????
Next off, I want to share my card for this week for Card Positioning Systems
Skipping Stones Designs is our sponsor. I just loved creating this little scene. All of the stamps are in the one set that I picked to use.
I am most fond of that adorable little quote. The letters are tiny but it stamped well. The clouds are actually the billowy strip stamped twice. I used that same strip to stamp the trees on my hills.
And, I have to share a photo...
She just loves cuddling in her blankets, it is such a riot how we find her sometimes.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
