Birthday cake for everyone!

Talk about two things that just go together, birthdays and cake! I put those two things together in the two cards I wanted to post today, both use a brand new stamp set at Gina K stamps.
Melanie Muenchinger is the creator of this cute stamp set, Candles on Your Cake. It is very evident in this set that it contains a ton of stamps that go together so neatly. I thought this color combo and the great houndstooth patterned paper gave the card an art deco look.
I used four different stamps for the design on the front of the card, the cake is one, the candles another, the main verse another and the last line another. It was fun to put them all together and my favorite is that birthday song and you get to add the recipients name. Notice the slight sparkle to the flames on the candles. I used some Glitter 3-D Fashion Paint by Tulip. It gives just the right amount of sparkle and it still lets the underneath image show through.
This card uses four stamps from the same set. Who can resist a cute cupcake? The cardstock is from the Vintage collection of Core'dinations cardstock.
Stamps used - the cupcake is one stamp, the candle another, the sprinkles another and the sentiment is the last one. The flame on the candle also has some Glitter 3-D Fashion Paint by Tulip on it.

Gotta share a couple photos!!
Guess what is just coming ripe in our yard???? YUM! Our grandkids just love these so we don't actually get very many to eat!
And, is this amazing!? A Lemon cupcake from Whodidily cupcakes in Montecito, CA.
And an amazing rose from the community garden that I love to go walk around in to take photos.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
