Thanks to Caardvarks

I was off looking for a sketch to use and I came across one at Caardvarks and I knew I had to try it.
To mimic the little scallops along the card in the sketch, I stamped this adorable little stamp from the Swirl Journal set by Pink Persimmon and then punched each image in a circle. Those circles in a row look like the scalloped edge in the sketch.
I did stamp the images with Black Versafine ink and then I embossed them with Detail Clear embossing powder. I love the richness of the black when it is embossed. I added Queen & Co. self adhesive pearls to each image. The images were punched out in individual circles and the edges of those were rubbed with Fluid Chalk stamp pads so that I could add color to the edges that would make them tie in with the colors of the papers by K&Co.

And I just had to show you a couple more photos!! I went down at sunset to the closest beach to my house the other night.
We have islands off of our coast and you often can't see them or see them clearly but this night they were as clear as they could be. I was just taken with the reflection of the sunset in the water on the beach. A wave would come in and then as that water flowed back out, the colors would just shine!
I took this as I was walking back to my car. There is a little river that flows down to the ocean and I loved all of the colors of this view.
Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)
